Whitewash, or calcimine, kalsomine, calsomine, or lime paint is a type of paint ... It produces a unique surface glow due to the double refraction of calcite crystals

Here is your answer buddy,

(1) Slaked lime is prepared by adding water to quick lime.

CaO + H2O = Ca(OH)2 + Q

(2) A solution of slaked lime (Ca(OH)2) is used to white wash the walls.
Calcium hydroxide reacts with the carbon dioxide in air to form thin layer of calcium carbonate on the walls. It gives a shiny finish to the walls.

Ca(OH)2 + Co2 = CaCo3 + H2O

HOPE THIS HELPS YOU. HAVE A NICE DAY!!
