When you clearly think about it there were a lot of differences on views for women in that time. Women were always oppressed and considered as weak and men ruled the world. With time the views and ideas changed and women were given rights and respected.Today, there are a lot of successful women ministers and presidents around the globe. As for the case of Raziya ruling for only 6 years as a Sultan, there had always been opposition for her becoming the ruler in the first place, no matter how suitable she was. The nobles misjudged and pointed out flaws each and every time in her reign no matter how well she managed the kingdom. The nobles and some of the subjects refused to be ruled by a Woman. They believed that women should only take care of their homes and children and not a kingdom. How many years could Raziya survive all the criticism and opposition thrown at her? Thus, she couldn't last long enough. Though I must say she was one of the best delhi sultans.
