Why work done by TENSION is zero?

work dine by tension is zero because Tension does not cause any displacement..

=) we know that work done is :-----

>>>> W = FS

so work done depends on both force and displacement here tension is a force but we know that tension occurs in string which doesn't cause any motion in body ..

in this case displacement is zero .

so S = 0

work done = FS = F × 0 = 0

we can see that work done by tension is zero..
