xylem conducts water from roots to other parts of plants .... transpiration and root pressure in xylem cause an upward pull... that is why water is conducted unidirectionally.... that is xylem is unidirectional....
hope it helps!! ❤️

Xylem conducts water which is available in the soul for the plants.
So they absorb the water from the soil and take it transport them upwards to other parts of the plants. Therefore it's unidirectional
