When we exercise our muscles work in the absence of oxygen and does not get enough oxygen to fully work.
So it works without oxygen
Hence it respires anaerobically .
The product of anaerobic respiration is lactic acid.
This lactic acid results in the feeling of cramp
Thus our muscles cramp after exercise.
Hope it helps
