Need of Measurement

We need need measurement to describe the natural phenomena of our surrounding. Though measurement we get complete information about the natural phenomenon in our surrounding in our day to day life.

Requirements of Standard Unit

The standardstandard unit are decided by general conference of weights and measures. The following requirements have to be taken care of while deciding a unit:

1. It's value must not change with time.

2. It should be imperishable which does not destroy with time.

3. It must must be well defined.

4. It must be capable of being reproduced whenever needed.

5. It should be of proper size.

6. It should not be affected by change in physical condition like pressure, moisture, temperature and so on.
