whyit takes time for pieces of Shahabad tiles to disappear in hcl its powder disappers rapidly

This is because the tile pieces will first disintegrate into powder form then only will dissolve in HCL. But its powder is already in disintegrated form so it will automatically dissolve faster in HCL..
