as we know that all angles of a reactanges are 90°
that means it forms a right angled traingle when divided by a digonal
apply pythagoras theorem and find the length using pythagora theorem

let the length be l
(l)^2 + (5)^2 = (13)^2
l^2 = 169 - 25
l^2 = 144
l = 12

so, the length measure 12 cm.

we got the length and know the breadth so,
to find the perimeter apply the formula
2 (l +b)
2 (5 + 12)
2 (17)
34 cm.

*Answer*

34cm

*step by step explanation*

As we know that all angles of a rectangle are 90° that means it forms right angle triangle.

 {l}^{2}  +  {5}^{2}  \:  \:  \: \:  \:  {13}^{2}

 {l }^{2}  \:  \:  \:  \:  \: 169 - 25

 {l}^{2}  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \: 144

l \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \: 12

2(l + b)

2(5 + 12)

2(17)

34cm
