Micelle : When soap molecules are present in water , the molecules arrange themselves in the form of cluster in such a manner that their hydrophobic ends are away from the water molecules and their hydrophilic or ionic ends are towards the water molecules . This is known as micelle formation and the cluster that is formed is known as micelle.
In the formation of micelle , any solvent can be used which has one hydrophilic and hydrophobic end because without these tail and head parts , micelle will not be formed. In ethanol , micelle cannot be formed because in ethanol soaps get dissolved . It form micelle in water as a solvent.
