will a tuning fork of 256 hz resonate at 516 hz??

Yes.

Resonance will occur when the fork vibrates with a frequency equal to the fundamental frequency or a frequency that is multiple of the fundamental frequency.

svsriharsha: Every two peaks of the 512 Hz oscillation corresponds to a peak of the 256 Hz oscillation.
navoneel95: why does it cause resonance.... isn't it supposed to occur at only the natural frequency??
