the greater of two consecutive integers is 6 less than twice the lesser. Find the numbers. ( It'd be much appreciated if you also wrote the equation and showed the steps. )

let the two consecutive integers be
x and ( x+1)

according to question. .
(*x+1)=2x-6

x=7
so, x+1=8....
so the conservative integer are 7 and 8
