Will mark u my best and brainliest a vessel contains 48 litres of milk and water in the ratio 3 : 1. how much water should be added so that the new ratio becomes 2:5?

∴Water = 12+x

As per the question

36/(12+x)= 2/5

⇒(12+x)*2=36*5

⇒24+2x=180

⇒2x=180-24

⇒2x=156

⇒x=156/2

⇒x=78

∴78 liters of water shoud be added
