Will my marks be deducted if I write more than the mentioned word limit in English??

The papers usually go over for more than one evaluation, that is, the papers are checked more than once.

Word limits don't count because they aren't gonna count every single word of yours. A story should have a content of about 2 sides and an article maybe for 1.5 sides. Letters account for 1 side.

Your marks will be deducted by half a mark if you exceed the writing part in a huge manner - such as utilizing 3 sides or more. Other than that, you're fine.

Evaluation for English could be pretty lenient because CBSE will not allow anyone to fail or get really bad marks.
