Please! Open the door.
You just need to add something to show you are requesting or ordering like i added PLEASE

jmsbrothers: Yes, but we use please as a cordial behave..not always..but we should use 'please' as we are a student
sorizasha: ok
sorizasha: thank you
JagmeetSoin: AS AN ORDER YOU CAN ALSO ADD HEY INSTEAD OF PLEASE!
jmsbrothers: Yes, but sometimes in our daily life, when we request something we use 'please' . but as an order we don't say this!
JagmeetSoin: not really
JagmeetSoin: We can also add an exclamation mark to 'Open the door' to make it imperaive
jmsbrothers: May be, but both r r8..this depends on the speaker...don't this?
JagmeetSoin: I think you are right friend. Why to argue over a question that has already been answered?
JagmeetSoin: We both are right :)

Open the door!

  • The above sentence is converted into an imperative sentence.
  • Imperative sentences are used to express any sort of command, request, or order.
  • Sometimes these sentences end with an exclamation mark but they are not exclamatory sentences as exclamatory sentences do not express any command.
  • Imperative sentences do not contain a subject instead contain a directive.
