current will flow more easily through a thick wire because with increase in cross sectional area the resistance decrease.
hence the current flows more easily through a thick wire than a thin wire

because resistance of a conductor is inversely proportional to it's crossectional area
so the thick wire will have more crossectional area and less resistance so current will flow through the thick wire more easily than thin wire
