let speed be x
distance = speed × time
d = 8x ..........(1)
similarly
d = (x+4)7.5 .............(2)
from equation 1 and 2 we get
8x = (x+4)7.5
8x / 7.5 = x + 4
(8x - 7.5 x)/ 7.5 = 4
0.5x / 7.5 = 4
x = 4 × 7.5 / 0.5
x = 45 km / hour
distance = 8x
= 8 x 45
= 360km
distance = speed × time
d = 8x ..........(1)
similarly
d = (x+4)7.5 .............(2)
from equation 1 and 2 we get
8x = (x+4)7.5
8x / 7.5 = x + 4
(8x - 7.5 x)/ 7.5 = 4
0.5x / 7.5 = 4
x = 4 × 7.5 / 0.5
x = 45 km / hour
distance = 8x
= 8 x 45
= 360km
