Correction of Presbyopia :

• Presbyopia can be corrected by using bifocal lens.

• Presbyopia = It is the type of defect of eye in which people can't able to see both nearby objects and distant objects. So to correct it or recover it we have to used bifocal lens means bifocal lens can handle both the nearby and distant objects.

The main cause of presbyopia is weakening of ciliary muscles and diminishing flexibility of the eye lens due to old age. As a result eye loses its power of accomodation and the person is not able to see nearby objects clearly. It is corrected in the same way as hypermetropia by using convex lens.
