Answer:

  • 313.2 metres is the required answer

Step-by-step explanation:

According to the Question :

It is given that,

Radius of circle ,R = 150m

Time taken to complete 1 round of track = 9min

we have to calculate the distance covered by him in 3 minutes .

Firstly we calculate the speed of person in completing 1 round of circular track.

Let the speed of person be s .

➻ s = 2πr/t

➻ s = 2×3.14×150/9×60

➻ s = 2×3.14×50/3×60

➻ s = 314/3×60

➻ s = 314/180

➻ s = 1.74m/s

Now, calculating the distance covered by person in 3 min .

t = 3×60s

t = 180s

  • d = speed×time

➻ d = 180×1.74

➻ d = 313.2 m

  • Hence, the distance covered by him will be 313.2 metres.

Given :-

With his usual speed, if a person covers a circular track of radius 150 m in 9 minutes

To Find :-

Distance covered in 3 min

Solution :-

Distance covered = 2πr

⇒ 2 × 3.14 × 150

⇒ 942 m

In 1 min it will cover

942/9 m

Now

In 3 min

942/9 × 3

2826/9

314 m
