answer to your question, as you go deeper into the ocean the pressureincreases but the temperature is getting lower because the dense waterare preventing the radiation of the sun from heating the lower levels of thewater. The lower you go the less radiation is available to heat the water

Sunlight first hits the surface .surface water molicule before conducting the heat energy downwords uses them to tranfer its state from liquid to vapour.
