★ → With increase in quantum number the energy difference between adjacent levels in atOMS decreases.

As,

Energy of first orbital is -13.6eV

seconds orbital (energy)= -3.4eV

Third orbital (energy)= - 1.51eV

Fourth orbital energy = -0.85eV

Fifth orbit (energy) = -0.53eV
.
.
.
.
At infinity Energy is zero

so,

E2-E1 = 10.2 ev

E3-E2 = 1.89eV

E4- E3 = 1.66ev

E5 - E4 = 0.31ev........so on..

Hence,

(E2 - E1) > ( E3 - E2) > ( E4 - E3) > (E5-E4)

Happy to help
