With most of the Xerox machines you can reduce or enlarge your original by entering a percentage for the copy . reshma wanted to enlarge a 2cm by 4cm drawing . she set the Xerox machine for 150%and copied her drawing . what will be the dimensions of the copy of the drawing be ?

Solution:-
Original dimensions of the drawing : Length = 4 cm and Breadth = 2 cm
If Reshma wants to enlarge the xerox copy of her drawing by 150 %, then she has to multiply each of the dimensions by 1.5 i.e.
2 × 1.5 = 3 cm
4 × 1.5 = 6 cm
So, the new dimensions of the xerox copy of her drawing will be 3 cm and 6 cm.

enlarged picture= 150%

New Length =150/100 x 4=6
New breadth= 150/100 x 2=3
new dimension = 6 x 3 cm
