There is no free and fair electoral competition in China because it is a communist country where power is monopolized by the Communist Party.In China. elections are regularly held after every five years for electing the country's parliament (National People's Congress). The National People Congress has the power to appoint the President of the country. It has nearly 3000 members elected from all over China.  • Mexico is a democracy. But there, power has been concentrated in the hands of the the PRI (Institutional Revolutionary Party). The PRI has frequently won elections in Mexico through the use of unfair means and the other parties rarely get a chance to win the elections.
