i think that they would transverse equal distance if it would stop at the end of 5th second and come back in 6th second,,,an example of this is vertical motion of a ball,,it means that it will reach its max height at t=6s(as in 6th sec it comes down)

so , as V=u+at

0=u+(-10)6

thus u=60m/s vertically upwards
