The energy obtained from rocks and the fluids filled in the rocks and beneath the earth surface.

▶It is a renewable source of energy.

▶Its widely available and distributed.

▶Its non poluting source of energy and emits less amount of green hiuse gases.

▶Its independent of weather and season.

◼The hot water is pumped out from deep underground through a well under high pressure.

◼When the water reaches the earth surface of changes into stream due to sudden change in pressure .

◼The stream is used to spin the turbine ,which is connected to a generator that produces electricity.

◼The stream cools off in a cooling tower and condenses back to water.The cooled water is pumped back into earyh to begin the process again.
