Aim: To show that rate of diffusion differs in liquids having different densities.
Materials required: 2 beakers, honey, ink & water.
Procedure:
- Pour some water in each of the beakers.
- Put some honey in 1 beaker and ink in the other.
- Observe what happens.
Observation: The honey dissolves slowly while the ink dissolves faster.
Conclusion: As the densities are different the rate of diffusion changes. Higher density, slower diffusion. Lower density, Faster diffusion.
Thanks!
