Any physical state of matter can be affected by temperature change, i.e., the state of matter of a substance changes with the change in temperature. Generally, when temperature is increased, the particles of that substance gains kinetic energy and start vibrating at their mean positions. The intermolecular force between them decreases and intermolecular space increases. The reverse happens in case of decreasing the temperature of a substance.
EXAMPLE :-
Let take an example of ice (physical state - solid). When it will be heated (temperature increase), it will converted into water (liquid). Again, on heating water (liquid), it will form water vapour (gas).
