With the help of properly labelled diagram explain why thermoplastics become soft on heating but thermosetting plastics remain as such

Thermoplastics have linear linking of monomers so they melt on heating and tgey can be remoulded many number of times on heating.

Thermosetting plastics have crossed linking of monomers so when they are heated they set into a hard mass which cannot be remoulded.
