after the age of 50, menopause takes place. Due to menopause, no menstrual cycle takes place and hence no ovulation takes place. As ovulation doesn't take place, even if the sperm enters the female genital tract, no fertilisation takes place.
Hence women after 50 are unable to give birth to children.
