wood and petrol both are fuel.But wood is left in open for storage and petrol is stored with great care .why?​

Wood is non volatile and will not catch fire very fast. Basically not inflammable.

Petrol is a highly flammable substance and can light up when exposed to heat. Also petrol leaves petrol vapours which may explode .
