Wood is a solid. When we heat it it turns into smoke and ashes without passing through the liquid state. Does it means that it is sublime substance (does sublimation) ?​

No, It is not get sublime because it has process, which that is in physical change and when it is burning it is forming chemical change we cannot get oringnal wood.
