Once in the mountains I had a divine vision,
A phenomenon beyond intellect and reason.
As I stood alone on a lonely peak,
In the twilight with the fading streak
Of the setting sun turning dark,
A sweet melody warbled by a solitary lark
Wafted unto my ears like a soothing balm;
Instantaneously I was filled with a serene calm.
The peace was so deep,still I longed to descend
Deeper and deeper to the farthest end
Of the world, where perhaps a world could be
Where every moment I shall experience pure glee;
In that divine world, I longed to be
Always unthwarted, always free!
