Work and energy are can be said to be as the two sides of a coin because, energy is the ability to do work ad except energy work never can be done without energy. work can be said to be as the effect of energy whether it is creative or destructive. Work results when a force acts upon an object to cause a displacement.  When work is done, energy is transferred between systems, or transformed from one type of energy into another type. Energy shares the same units of measure as work. The SI unit of work or energy is the joule(J). The principle of work and kinetic energy states that the work done by the sum of all forces acting on a particle equals the change in the kinetic energy of the particle. Even the concept of energy is also derived from the concept of work done, some how by finding the reason of occurrence of the effects and the cause of effects and similarly in case of work also and later measure of effect and force due to apply of energy.
