Work done to holding 20 kg object from 1 m above the ground level

WORK DONE = FORCE * DISTANCE OF DISPLACEMENT

Work Done = F*s                          .....................(1)

Mass = 20kg

Distance = 1m

Gravity 'g" = 9.8 m/s^2

Force = mass*acceleration= 20*9.8 kg.m/s^2

          = 196 N

Work Done = 196 * 1                     ..............................(using equation 1 )

                   =  196 J  .
