Answer:

First 90 days were there but at present days are left 90-20= 70 days

There were 300 men but 50 men then left,

Remaining one's= 300-50= 250 men

So, provision for 300 men= 70 days

Provision for 250 men will be = x

As its indirect variation, so formula

70/x= 250/300

70×300/250= x

2100/25= x

420/5= x

84= x

Hope it helps

No. of days left = (90-20)

                         = 70 days

No. of men remain = ( 300-50)

                               = 250 men

For 300 men, the remaining food would be lasted for 70 days

∴ For 1 man the remaining food would be last for (300×70) days

∴ For 250 men the remaining food would be continued for {(300×70)÷250}

                                                                                                 ={(6×70)÷5}

                                                                                                  = (6×14)

                                                                                                   = 84 days

∴ The remaining food be lasted for 84 days.
