Breadth = 40 mm

Let the length be = x

Perimeter of rectangle = 94 mm

2(l + b) = 94

2(x + 40) = 94

(x + 40) = \frac{94}{2}

(x + 40) = 47

x = 47 - 40

x = 7

∴ Length = 7 mm

Area of rectangle = l * b

                             = 7 * 40

                             = 280

∴ Area of rectangle = 280 mm^{2}
