The hexagon is made up of 1 rectangle and 2 triangles

AREA OF RECTANGLE=length ×breadth

AREA OF TRIANGLE=1/2×base×height

length ×breadth=12×5=60cm^2

AREA OF RECTANGLE=60cm^2

total height is 13 cm

13-height of rectangle=height of 2 triangles

13-5=2x

8=2x

x=4

height of each triangle is 4 cm

base of triangle is 12 cm {given}

AREA=1/2×4×12

=24cm^2

Since there are two triangles 24×2=48cm^2

TOTAL AREA OF HEXAGON IS 60+48=108cm^2

Answer:

the answer is 108

Step-by-step explanation:

  1. the area of rectangle =l × b =12 × 5 = 60
  2. give height of the hexagon as 13 so remove the values of rectangle as we already found the area I.e, 13 - 5= 8
  3. as the given triangles are identical ,height of each triangle will be 8/2 = 4
  4. now area of triangle = 1/2 × base × height = 1/2 ×12 ×4 = 24
  5. as both triangles are identical their area is also equal so 24 +24 = 48
  6. now add areas of triangles and reactagle =48 + 60 = 108

hope this may help

it is my own answer tried really very hard to give my great
