Subject: Evil of corruption in government departments and other organizations

Sir:

I am writing to your good self to bring to your kind notice the rampant corruption in all Government departments, business organization and even private companies. The citizens of the city of have to pay bribes to get their work done. India was placed at 76th position out of 168 countries with a score of 38 out of a possible 100 in Transparency International's Corruption Perceptions Index 2015. This corruption has slowed India’s pace of development.

Recently I applied for a new electricity connection. At the time of installation of the new meter, the visiting officer demanded extra money. Though I had paid all the required charges in advance. Why is it so? The condition of the other departments is exactly the same.

However, there is hope this corruption will be eradicated by and by. Some recent movements like the Right to Information Act, demand for Lokpal Bill and Demonetisation have raised hopes against corruption.

I appeal to the Government to look into the matter and take strict action against the corrupt officials, officers, and Government employees. I also appeal to people keep fighting against this evil.

Thanking you.

Yours truly,

Upen Sharma

Sir

Subject- Expressing concern over the need to stop corruption at the earliest

Through the columns of your esteemed and well read newspaper, I would like to express my view over the need to stop corruption which is being faced by the people of our country.

Corruption began when the British government was in India. It is a deep rooted in Indian society. In India, almost all people corrupt one another like Indian Police corrupts the public by taking money in the name of tax and our government also corrupt us by passing tax laws. Even the private companies are indulged in malpractices and corruption. By corruption our country does not able to develop like other countries. But there are some movements like Right to Information Act given by Anna Hazare are taken to reduce corruption. We have a right which is very helpful for us ,i.e., we can demand for Lokpal Bill and Demonstration. If India does what is it doing at present, then the India can't develop. So it is necessary to stop corruption if we want to see our country, India successful.

Eventually, I would like to request to the authorities that more and more steps should be taken against it. Hoping that my views will find a suitable space in your esteemed and well read newspaper and awaking the authorities to take action in this direction.

Yours truly
