Dear diary

Today was an awesome day! I had lots of fun with my friends! Today was 'World Book day' and therefore our school planned to hold a celebration on it to provide us the importance of reading. At first me and my classmates frowned when the announcement came out. We thought that we'd have to revise the chapters that were taught. We were so upset and the teacher said that we don't have to revise the chapters but we should try out books from the library which got stocked by new books for the day. We had lots of fun reading various kind of books! We interested ourselves in story books when the senior students interested themselves in novels mostly. There were comics, story books, novels, GK books, history books, picture books etc. I liked a book titled 'Different shading techniques in art'. I read through it and tried a few techniques and it worked magically! With the the few techniques in mind, I tried shading a lily flower with pencil. I showed it to my mother and she loved it! I also liked a short story named 'The Happy Prince'. Not just reading was part of the day; the teachers asked us about the books we read and asked our opinions on the book. We had so much fun! Reading is so much fun if you try.
