No. it's not a good argument because even if a country who is democratic like India. The number of boundations and rules and regulations are less. Indian people has more freedom which is good for encouraging corruption. So, it does means a country is good just because it is democratic. It's the western thinking democracy doesn't always guarantees success. If we look at The People's Republic of China which is a communist country. Look the success of this country. It's not a democratic country but it's outperforming and outshining every other country in the world. Yes the rules and regulations are more. People have to share every information with the government. Nothing is hidden from the government. but is it a bad thing, not necessarily.
