Would you place the two isotopes of chlorine, cl-35 and cl-37 in different slots because of their different atomic masses or in the same slot because their chemical properties are same? explain

Heyya!

Both the Chlorine isotopes have same atomic number and the arrangement of elements in periodic table is done on the basis of atomic number therefore should be placed in one position in periodic table. Chemical properties depends upon the atomic number of an atom therefore arrangement of element should be done on the basis of atomic number.

Hope it helps!☺️
