The Covid-19 outbreak has brought our lives to a standstill and has confronted the entire world with a crisis like ever before, redefining the way we exist. With numerous businesses across the world having had to pull their shutters, and most countries being under lockdown, the economy has taken a severe hit, forcing everyone to fight the pandemic in the best way they can. Amidst extended nationwide lockdowns, social distancing has emerged as the new norm and most of us enjoy the privilege of staying at home and staying safe. However, in the wake of this unprecedented calamity, the medical community including doctors, nurses and the medical staff are the true warriors who are fighting this disease on the frontlines and putting their own lives at risk to keep us safe.

Since the beginning of the outbreak, healthcare professionals have truly been selfless warriors, giving everything to uphold their job responsibilities, even at the cost of cutting themselves off from their families and loved ones. Although most doctors have experienced the gratification of healing patients and saving their lives, many battles have also been lost along the way with several doctors going to the extent of even sacrificing their own lives in the line of duty.

Doctors, nurses and many others in the healthcare sector have donned the role of a brave medical army fighting against coronavirus, standing strong with thermometers, stethoscopes and ventilators as their weapons.

As we observe Doctors Day on 1st July, in India, it is the ideal opportunity to extend our gratitude to all the doctors and physicians for their service round the clock. The sacrifices that they make every day for the safety and welfare of humanity is priceless and deserves our lifelong gratitude. We need to give the medical fraternity the respect and compassion that they truly deserve. There can be no greater tribute to healthcare workers than this. We must applaud the heroic efforts of courageous and inspiring doctors across the globe, who are working to save the lives of COVID-19 patients despite the high risk of infection.

MEDICAL CARE DURING THE CORONA SCARE

The coronavirus crisis has got a lot of us concerned about seeking medical consultations and treatments. In light of this situation, Chennai Gastro Care has implemented several initiatives like a 24X7 digital assistant and online video consultation. For those choosing to visit the clinic in person, several safety precautions have been adopted including patient distancing, ventilation and disinfection of premises, and implemented usage of masks and gloves to ensure the wellbeing of patients
