Answer:

True solution -

  1. It is a homogeneous mixture.
  2. In this mixture, solute cannot be seen even in the microscope.
  3. The size of the particles is about 10 to the power - 10
  4. The constituents can't be separated through filtration.
  5. It cannot show tyndall effect.

Suspension -

  1. It is a heterogeneous mixture.
  2. In this mixture, solute can be seen through naked eyes.
  3. The size of the particles is about 10 to the power - 7.
  4. The particles can be separated through ordinary filtration.
  5. It shows tyndall effect but after sometime when the solute gets suspended then it won't show tydall effect.

(What is tyndall effect? It is the scattering of a beam of light by a medium containing small suspended particles)

Hope the answer helps you.

Answer:

Sorry for not Providing tabular column

Solution

1. Particles of the solution is very small and is not visible to naked eye

2. It is a Homogeneous solution

3. They do not scatter light. ( I.E., Do not show Tyndall Effect.

4. It is stable. ( I.E. Do not get separated while left undisturbed or filtered. )

5. Eg:- Sugar in Water

Suspension

1. Particles are visible to naked eye.

2. It is a Heterogenous solution.

3. They scatter light and show Tyndall Effect

4. It is not stable. It gets separated when left undisturbed or filtered.

5. Eg. Chalk Powder in water
