India became an independent country on August 15, 1947 and then on January 26, 1950, the Constitution of India was established and the country was declared as Sovereign, Secular, Socialistic and Democratic Republic nation. This day reflects all the struggles of the people who fought for Indian independence.
Republic Day is celebrated with full zeal and enthusiasm all over the country and this day is declared as a gazette public holiday by the government of India.
