Hunsagi or Hunasagi is a subdivision of a district of Yadgir District in Karnataka, India. The valley is also present there. Hunsagi valley has a historical essence. Hunsagi village is administered by an elected sarpanch.

  • Hunsagi valley is a historical site, specifically an early paleolithic site.
  • These valleys have been excavated and historical evidence was found that people ages ago lived here.
  • At some sites, stone tools and weapons were found which were made up of reddish-brown sedimentary rock. Tools also included multipurpose instruments.
  • Some sites also suggested that these were habitation-cum factory sites. Here most of the tools were made from local limestone.
