ANDAMAN AND NICOBAR ISLANDS:
These are located in the Bay of Bengal. They are divided into two divisions mainly Andaman islands in the north and Nicobar Islands in the south. There is great diversity of flora and fauna in this group.
LAKSHADWEEP ISLANDS:These are located in the Arabian sea close to the malabar coast of Kerala. These islands is composed of small coral islands. Earlier they were also known as Laccadive ,Minicoy amd Amindive.Kavaratti is the administrative head quarters of Lakshadweep.
