Film review of movie: DANGAL
DANGAL is a rightly done sports drama insipired from a real story. It shows the story of the wrestling life of MAHAVIR SINGH PHOGAT and daughters GEETA and BABITA PHOGAT. It sends out a strong feminist message. An incredible script and powerhouse performances leave you impressed. It's must be watched.The story was directed by NITESH TIWARI. Amir khan plays the role of Mahavir singh phogat. Fatima sana sheikh plays the role of Geeta phogat, Ira khan plays the role of Babita phogat.
Mahavir singh phogat who taught wrestling to his daughters. Geeta was the first Indian woman wrestler to win at 2010 commonwealth games. Mahavir want a boy to fulfil his dream and to make his boy international wrestler but he has 2 daughters at that time. He realised that his daughters more than boys and taught them wrestling. But his daughters were not interested in it. They never practices seriously. He yaa didn't allow his daughters to eat junk foods and to do household works, he only want to make them wrestler. One time his daughters said that they can't run and practice in Salwaar Kameez, then he arranged Short pants for them. When they said their hair are damaged in the soil during wrestling then he called a barbar and make them BALD. But when GEETA'S frnd told him that ur father is so good, atleast he think about your bright future but my father didn't think, then they both understand and started practicing seriously. And soon they are ready for their 1st dangal. Time passes and they both are winning everyone's hearts and gold medals also.
When Geeta was in the NSA she not not getting proper coching and that's why she looses in SYDNEY internationals.
She looses many times, but her father know that his daughter can win. He come to Patiala and coches her daughter again and she wins again. GEETA'S coach don't like her father and always tell wrong techniques and wrong strategies to every girls in NSA. Geeta and Babita both wins in Commonwealth games and make their father proud of them. The story also shows the discrimination of girls. Mahavir's neighbours always make fun of Geeta and Babita and also says to Mahavir that girls are only for household works and soon he should make his daughters marry with someone. The story was so inspiring and motivating that why boys only, girls can also do everything that a boy can do.
