Explanation premchand was pen name of a very famous Indian writer Danpat ray shrivastava. He was born on 31 july 1880 in Varanasi,India.He wrote modern Hindustani literature which made him very famous among Indian writers

He has written around 300 short stories neumerous novels and various essays writing and poems in his life time few most famous works and plays are:Godaan, Mazdoor satgati statranj ke khiladi etc he died on Varanasi October 8 , 1936
