The emperor of Lilliput is taller than his subjects. He has masculine features, an Austrian lip and arched nose. His body is well- proportioned and he moves gracefully. He is twenty eight years and three quarters old.
The emperor feels very inquisitive about Gulliver. As soon as he hears about the man-giant , he expresses a desire to see him.He holds contests to select the most deserving candidates for high appointments in the court. These contests also serve as the diversions for the emperor. Whoever performs his part in this contest with greatest agility is rewarded by the emperor.
