INDIA

The Himalayan forests are seen in India.

In India forest have 19% of total surface covers.

It has dense forest near to river banks and evergreen also.

Trees are about 10 to 20 m long and very broad leaves .

In the Northern side of India it covers the Himalayan forest which are triangle like structure and also easily surviving in cold regions , e.g. Mahogany trees .

Forestry in India is more than just about wood and fuel.

India has a thriving non-wood forest products industry, which produces latex, gums, resins, essential oils, flavors, fragrances and aroma chemicals, incense sticks, handicrafts, thatching materials and medicinal plants.

About 60% of non-wood forest products production is consumed locally.

About 50% of the total revenue from the forestry industry in India is in non-wood forest products category.

In 2002, non-wood forest products were a source of significant supplemental income to over 400 million people in India, mostly rural.

BRAZIL

The tropical evergreen forests are seen in Brazil.

In Brazil it has more than 23% of forest covers in the total surface area.

These forests are very dance and a lots of animals survive in this forest due to availability of good food such as grasses.

Grasses are about 2 meters long.

Trees are very thick in size and are near to Amazon River.

Trees are more than 20 m long. These forests have various numbers of medicinal plants.

A national forest (Portuguese) in Brazil is a type of sustainable use protected area.

The primary purpose is sustainable exploitation of the forest, subject to various limits.

These include a requirement to preserve at least 50% of the original forest, to preserve forest along watercourses and on steep slopes, and so on.

More than 10% of the Amazon rain forest is protected by national forests or other types of conservation unit.

The difference of the forest cover in India to Brazil:

In India the total forest cover is around 19%, the himalayan forest covers the northern side of the country where the trees range between the height of 10 to 20m , the forest trees are used for food and fuel and also for manufacturing products for sale, also the production of latex, essential oils are there in forests.  

In Brazil the forest cover is around 23%, the forest unlike India is very dense and the Amazon forest covers the most of it, it is home to thousands of species of flora and fauna.
