There are a lot of points you should take into account before planning your holidays. One of the main points is the money you are willing to pay. Maybe you are thinking about having a luxurious holiday abroad, but in this case you need to take care that you have enough money so you have to think twince in case you cannot afford the cost. You'd better choose a cheaper destination or try with a touristic place near you, it could be charming as well!
Another important factor is that you should bear in mind if you want to travel abroad is the security. Some countries have a lot of criminal rates, so you have to make sure that your destination is not one of these. You also have to take some precautions like use Sun cream in a sunny place or vaccinate yourself against some foreign illNess or some kind of insects like mosquitoes.
